A liquid crystal display device (100) according to the present invention includes: a first substrate (110) having a first electrode (114); a second substrate (120) having a second electrode (124); and a liquid crystal layer (130) provided between the first electrode (114) and the second electrode (124). The first electrode (114) includes a plurality of metal wires (114m) extending linearly and in parallel to one another. Preferably, the first electrode (114) further includes an outer edge portion (114s) which is continuous with each of the plurality of metal wires (114m). |
