PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a root of a plant from rotting even if various germs adhere to a culture medium when the plant is hydroponically cultivated.SOLUTION: In a hydroponic device (1), a culture medium (2), which raises seedlings of the plant, is immersed in a liquid level of a culture solution (4) or is arranged above the liquid level. A photocatalyst carrier layer is formed in the culture medium (2), and an ultraviolet light guide (8) is disposed in the photocatalyst carrier layer. The light guide (8) is formed of a side-face light leakage type optical fiver that leaks light from a side face in the photocatalyst carrier layer. |
