<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an avalanche prevention method and an avalanche prevention system for preventing avalanche by a whole system with a simple structure, and for reducing the size and weight of an avalanche prevention fence in the combined structure of a berm and the avalanche prevention fence. <P>SOLUTION: In an avalanche prevention method, an avalanche prevention fence 3 is erected at a slope section S2 at the lower side of a berm 2 on a slope S, the berm S2 is extended so that snow A3 can be piled up on the avalanche prevention fence 3 continuously with snow A2 piled up on the berm 2, a glide suppression fence 4 which is lower than the avalanche prevention fence 3 is erected at a slope section S1 at the upper side of the berm 2 on the slope S, and the glide suppression fence 4 is brought into contact with the bottom of the layer of the snow A1 piled up on the upper slope section S1 to increase friction between the upper slope section S1 and the snow A1 piled up thereon so as to reduce a load to be applied from the snow A1 piled up at the upper slope section S1 to the snow A2 and A3 respectively piled up on the berm 2 and the avalanche prevention fence 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
