The present invention provides a fuel supplying device for a diesel engine, preventing a starting counter-rotation of the diesel engine. A counter-rotation start preventing cam (20) is used as a fuel injection camp (2). The counter-rotation start preventing cam (20) has a cam surface (2b) for the intake of fuel formed to reach a position in contact with a tappet (4a) of a plunger (4) in an end stage (10c) of a intake operation (10) when the engine performs a normal rotation (3). When the engine performs a counter-rotation (11), the plunger (4) is pressed and pushed toward an upper dead-center point through the cam surface (2b) for intake of fuel such that fuel (8) is injected from a plunger compartment (5) into a combustion chamber (7) through an injector (6). Moreover, when the engine performs the counter-rotation to inject the fuel (8), a fuel injection-time period (12) starts (12a) in the course of an exhaust cycle (13) conducted when the engine performs the counter-rotation (11) such that a part or the entire amount of fuel (8) injected in the course of the exhaust cycle (13) is discharged from the combustion chamber (7) to the exterior through a suction valve opening (14). |
