<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce deterioration of a fuel cell, even in operation when one part of a gas flow passage in the fuel cell is frozen due to decrease in the outside air temperature, in a fuel cell system. <P>SOLUTION: During the stop of the fuel cell, decrease rate of the atmospheric temperature is calculated from the atmospheric temperature, detected by a temperature sensor and an elapsed time from the stop of the fuel and is stored in a memory part. When the atmospheric temperature at starting after the stop of the fuel cell is lower than a prescribed temperature and the rate of decrease of the atmospheric temperature during the stop of the fuel cell is larger than the prescribed decrease rate, the output current from the fuel cell is limited to or smaller than the prescribed limiting current at the starting process of the fuel cell. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
