<p>462,489. Sliding - clasp fastenings. BOENECKE, A. Dec. 2, 1935, No. 33404. Convention date, Aug. 14. [Class 44] A sliding-clasp fastener has a key lock provided in the interior of the slider. The slider is provided with a detent 13 the teeth 14 of which are projected by the action of a leaf spring 12, through apertures 16<1> in the slider top-plate 3<2> to engage the usual elements of the stringer tapes. The lock bolt has a raised portion 9<1> which in its forward position raises the detent 13 out of engagement while when the bolt is in its rearward position the raised portion 9<1> enters an aperture 15 in the detent 13 so that the latter is then moved by the spring 12 to engage the elements on the stringer tapes and look the slider against movement in the direction for opening the fastener. The teeth 14 are bevelled and therefore allow the slider to be moved in the direction for closing the fastener. The lock bolt is actuated by a key-operated eccentric notched disc 8 situated below a guide piece 7. The lock parts are mounted in recesses in the top plate 3<2> of the slider 8 in a cover 31.</p> |
