PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing resin particulates having excellent mechanical strength, uniform shape and narrow particle size distribution while preventing unintentional degeneration of the resin constituting the resin particulate and provide resin particulates produced by the method. SOLUTION: The method for producing resin particulates uses a dispersion liquid containing a dispersoid made mainly of a resin material in a dispersant in finely dispersed state. The method has a step to eject the dispersion liquid in the form of droplets and a step to remove the dispersant from the dispersion liquid droplets. A coagulation preventing layer to prevent or suppress the coagulation of the dispersoid is formed on the surface of the dispersoid. The coagulation preventing layer is formed by applying a material to form the coagulation preventing layer to the dispersion liquid ejected in the form of droplets. The application of the material is carried out by spraying the layer-forming liquid containing the material in finely dispersed state to the dispersion liquid ejected in the form of droplets.
