摘要 PURPOSE:To enlarge transport capacity by constructing an elevator device provided with elevator cages on both ends of a winding rope in such a way as to bring one elevator in line with a specified floor by controlling a winding machine on the basis of a cage position detection signal and to bring the other cage in line with a specified floor by controlling the tension of a rope on the basis of a cage position detection signal. CONSTITUTION:At the time of stopping a first elevator 6 at an upper floor 13 and a second elevator 7 at a lower floor 17, both elevator cages 6, 7 are elevated/lowered by a winding machine 4, then the position of the first elevator cage 6 is detected by a first position detecting means 21, and the winding machine 4 is driven/controlled in such a way that the first elevator is brought in line with the hall floor 14 of the upper floor 13. Meanwhile, the position of the second elevator cage 7 is detected by a second position detecting means 22, and winding rope tension mechanism 23 is operated by the control circuit 24 to control the tension of a winding rope in such a way that the second elevator cage 7 is brought in line with a hall floor 18.
