PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collision detection system capable of more accurate collision detection and contributing to reduction in cost and size. SOLUTION: The collision detection system 10 has a first balloon 50 and a second balloon 60 built, in an inflated state, in a front door and a rear door, respectively; a first pressure transmitting portion 52 to transmit gas in the first balloon 50 to the side of a first pillar 4; and a second pressure transmitting portion 62 to transmit gas in the second balloon 60 to the side of a second pillar 5. The first pillar 4 contains a first pressure sensor 22 and a first acceleration sensor 21 and the second pillar 5 contains a second pressure sensor 32 and a second acceleration sensor 31, wherein the first pressure sensor 22 detects pressure changes inside the front door 2 based on the gas transmitted via the first pressure transmitting portion 52 and the second pressure sensor 32 detects pressure changes inside the rear door 3 based on the gas transmitted via the second pressure transmitting portion 62.
