<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slurry composition for a steam exchange adsorber which is used for preparing an adsorber capable of giving a sufficient moisture removing effect, and an adsorber for steam exchange composed of an inorganic fiber as a base material. <P>SOLUTION: This composition contains at least, one kind selected from the group consisting of a silica porous material with at least one peak present in a position where the d spacing of X-ray diffraction is larger than 2 nm, a hydrophobic organic polymer, colloidal silica or alumina sol.
