PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for suppressing the formation of a biofilm in a washer. SOLUTION: The method for suppressing the formation of a biofilm in a washer comprises bringing a composition into contact with the inside of the washer in which an aqueous cleaning liquid is used for washing, the composition comprising one or more compounds selected from compounds (A) represented by the general formula (1): RO-(EO)<SB>n</SB>-H (1), wherein R represents a 8-14C linear or branched alkyl group or alkenyl group; EO represents an ethyleneoxy group; and n represents an integer of 0-5.
