PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discriminant function specification device, discriminant function specification program, discriminant function specification method, and biometric authentication device capable of obtaining accuracy according to applications of biometric authentication.SOLUTION: A setup unit 41 calculates, by machine learning, a discriminant function for separating distribution of identical person similarity from distribution of anyone else similarity using a learning input parameter set before the learning, and changes values of the learning input parameter and a learning output parameter as a parameter of the discriminant function calculated by the learning to set a plurality of discriminant functions. A calculation unit 42 calculates an error rate for each discriminant function set by the setup unit 41. An extraction unit 43 extracts a discriminant function, the error rate of which satisfies a prescribed error condition, the error rate calculated by the calculation unit 42. |
