HEPATITIS B VIRUS REPORTER VECTOR, HEPATITIS B VIRUS-LIKE PARTICLES, AND SCREENING METHOD FOR HEPATITIS B DRUG USING SAME

The present invention addresses the problem of providing an efficient screening method for a drug against the hepatitis B virus.　The present invention solves the above problem by providing an HBV reporter vector including an HBV gene that includes an X gene and a gene in which an HBV precore/core gene is partially substituted with a reporter gene. The present invention further solves the above problem by providing hepatitis B virus-like particles including: (1) HBV core proteins, polymerase proteins, and large S proteins; and (2) HBV pregenomic RNA including an X gene and a gene in which an HBV precore/core gene is partially substituted with a reporter gene, and incomplete circular double-stranded DNA comprising negative-strand DNA and positive-strand DNA synthesized from said pregenomic RNA.
