PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high efficient hermetic type compressor in which occurrence of discharge loss is restricted by preventing delay in opening of a discharge lead valve. ! SOLUTION: There is provided, in a cavity 159 formed at a valve plate 143, a discharge valve mechanism 161 constituted of two discharge holes 163 and 165, two discharge lead valves 167 and 169 for opening or closing each of the discharge valves 163 and 165, and two spring leads 171 and 173. Further, spring fixtures 171a and 173a for the spring leads are overlapped on valve fixtures 167a and 169a for the discharge lead valves to fix them to the valve plate 143. With this arrangement, lengths of arms 167c and 169c of the discharge lead valves 167 and 169 are elongated, their spring constants are reduced, a discharge loss caused by delay in openings of the discharge lead valves 167 and 169 is reduced to improve a volumetric efficiency and then an efficiency of a hermetic type compressor can be improved. !
