PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform operations including screen change, screen magnifying, or character input without touching a display panel.SOLUTION: An information display apparatus 10 comprises: a display unit 11 displaying a real image; a display instruction unit 15 outputting a display indication signal 56 to the display unit 11; an optical panel 12 converging display light 54 from the display unit 11 and imaging an aerial image of the real image; a solid state imaging element 18 outputting an imaging signal; a distance/position calculation unit 31 which, using the imaging signal, calculates information of distance from the solid state imaging element 18 to operation means 52 for operating for the aerial image, and two-dimensional position information of the operation means 52; and a determination unit 32 outputting the two-dimensional position information. When the information of distance falls within a prescribed range, or when change in the information of distance is detected, the information display apparatus 10 changes the displays of the real image and the aerial image based on the two-dimensional position information. |
