The present invention provides a body odor suppressant with which it is possible to effectively suppress body odor, especially acid smells in the axillary region and oily smells in the head region, and provides a diketone activity inhibitor with which it is possible to effectively inhibit the activity of a diketone compound that is caused by a skin component. The present invention is: a body odor suppressant that comprises an ascorbic acid fatty acid ester compound; and a diketone activity inhibitor that inhibits the activity of a diketone compound that is caused by a skin component and is represented by general formula (II): R5-(CO)-(CO)-R6 (II) (In the formula, R5 and R6 each independently represent C1-4 alkyl groups), said diketone activity inhibitor being characterized by containing an ascorbic acid fatty acid ester compound. |
