摘要 The present invention relates to a power plant operation control system and a method thereof using an acoustic emission (AE) sensor, which comprises: a part unit that operates a power plant; an AE sensor unit that detects cracks in the part unit; a crack arithmetic operation unit that quantitatively estimates the condition of cracks created in the part unit depending on the detection value of the AE sensor unit; an operation mode controller unit that selects the operation mode for the crack transmission data and provides operation mode data necessary for the operation mode; and a plant operation unit that controls operation of the part unit depending on the operation mode data provided by the operation mode controller unit. Thus, the degree of damages to parts is in monitored in real time by using an acoustic emission (AE) sensor and depending on the detection results the degree of damage is assessed and then operations modes for the power plant is controlled in multi levels, so that interruption of operation is minimized and operational efficiency of the power plant is improved and optimal operation can be achieved based on the degree of damages to parts, extending the operating period of the power plant.
