<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which a surface state of a photosensitive drum may be determined with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: A printer 1 comprises: a photosensitive drum 14 on a surface of which an electrostatic latent image is formed; a scanner for scanning the surface of the photosensitive drum 14 with a laser beam L; a sensor unit 41 for detecting intensity (I<SB POS="POST">0</SB>) of reflected light R of the laser beam L having been reflected on the surface of the photosensitive drum 14; and a CPU 42 for determining a surface state of the photosensitive drum 14 on the basis of a detection result of the sensor unit 41. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
