1. A method of forming an electrode for a lithium ion battery, the method comprising:
mechanically coating reactant with graphene by enabling friction contact between the graphene and the reactant; treating the graphene-coated reactant with conducting material; mixing the treated and graphene-coated reactant with a Li-based salt suspension to form a homogenous mix; and processing the homogenous mix to form active material, the active material comprising a surface area of less than approximately 10 m2/g. |
