<p>The present invention relates to a system for controlling an on-load tap changer (OLTC), and more specifically, to an apparatus and a method for controlling the OLTC capable of accurately providing a tab change of the OLTC. According to an embodiment of the present invention, an on load tap changer (OLTC) is installed in a transformer, and an apparatus for controlling the OLTC is connected with a driving motor for lifting or lowering a tab by driving the OLTC. Moreover, the apparatus for controlling the OLTC comprises: a sensor to generate detection information by detecting the rotation of the driving motor; a control part to generate location information by identifying a tab location of an OLTC based on the detection information generated in the sensor; and a display part to display the tab location of the OLTC based on the location information.</p> |
