The machine tool comprises a machine frame (10) and a workpiece carrier (12), in which a workpiece (40) for processing is fixed. A tool carrier (30) is provided, which has a tool turret with a turret head (36). The tool turret is rotatable around a turret axis (34) and is fixed relative to a turret housing (32). The tool turret comprises multiple tool receivers (38) in the turret head, in which a drivable tool holder with a drivable tool (W) is inserted, and are driven by a tool drive unit of the tool turret. The tool drive unit comprises a toothing formed as a toothed ring.
