<p>The present invention discloses a camera module and a control method thereof. The camera module includes: a lens unit which has a focus lens collecting the light on an imaging area; an imaging unit converting the collected light to an image signal; a computation unit calculating a focus value based on the image signal; a scan section set to be the movement range of the focus lens; a scan setting unit setting multiple steps by partitioning the scan section; and a control unit which compares the focus values detected in each of the steps in the scan section to determine the optimal focus point of the focus lens and moves the focus lens in a macro direction and an infinite direction respectively from the focus step determined to be the optimal focus point to store the image generated by the imaging unit.</p> |
