PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of operating an apparatus for sterilizing a plastic material container capable of maintaining the performance of a radiation finger after the elapse of long period of time.SOLUTION: In a method of operating an apparatus for sterilizing a plastic material container, charge carriers are generated in working operation and are conveyed through a guide chamber 4 and discharged from the guide chamber 4 by an outlet window 6 bounding the guide chamber 4, the outlet window 6 is inserted at least partially into a plastic material container 10 through an opening 10a of the plastic material container 10 during the sterilization of the plastic material container 10, and a flowable cleaning medium is acted on the outlet window 6 in cleaning operation of the apparatus. |
