<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform voice translation that is smooth and high in responsiveness.SOLUTION: A voice translation device includes an acquisition part, a voice recognition part, a translation part, a search part, a selection part, and an example presentation part. The acquisition part acquires an utterance by a first language as a voice signal. The voice recognition part sequentially performs voice recognition with respect to the voice signal and acquires a first language character string of a voice recognition result. The translation part translates the first language character string into a second language different from the first language and acquires the second language character string of a translation result. The search part searches for similar examples to be examples of the first language similar to the first language character string every first language character string and when there are similar examples, acquires similar examples and parallel translation examples to be a result of translation of the similar examples into the second language. According to a user instruction, the selection part selects as a selected character string at least either the first language character string where there are similar examples or the second language character string where there are parallel translation examples. The example presentation part presents one or more of similar examples and parallel translation examples about the selected character string.</p> |
