<p>Disclosed are a dumbbell-shaped bulbous bow structure and a ship including the same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a bulbous bow comprises first and second bulbous bows (221, 222) protruding from the bow of a ship at a predetermined length to be bilaterally symmetrical to each other in the front side of the ship. Each foremost protruding point of the first and second bulbous bows (221, 222) is separated from the forward perpendicular (FP) line of the bow of the ship at the same distance (L). Therefore, according to the present invention, the bulbous bow secures a sufficient bulb volume in the lower position of the bow of the ship and has wave resistance reducing capacity up to the ballast draft as the first and second bulbous bows in a specific shape are formed at the bow of the ship, thereby maintaining excellent performance in the ballast draft as well as the designed draft. In addition to this, according to the present invention, the ship including the bulbous bow maintains excellent performance in the ballast draft as well as the designed draft, thereby reducing fuel consumption.</p> |
