An array substrate and a liquid crystal display device. The array substrate comprises gate lines (10), data lines (20), a pixel unit (1) defined by the gate lines (10) and the data lines (20), and an alignment film (101) formed above the pixel unit (1). By setting a friction direction of the alignment film (101) to be not perpendicular to the direction of the gate lines, the resistance encountered during friction alignment of the alignment film (101) is reduced, thereby reducing the generation rate of bad friction. Furthermore, for an FFS display device providing a multi-domain liquid crystal operating mode, by setting an angle between an extension direction of a slit (3) and the friction direction to be 0° ≤α≤ 12°, the display quality of the display device is effectively guaranteed while ensuring that the bad friction is improved effectively. |
