Provided are: an electroconductive paste in which suitable paste fluidity is maintained and exceptional printing performance is obtained; and a ceramic electronic component. An electroconductive paste in which an organic solvent B is subsequently added to a vehicle containing an Ni powder, a binder resin component, and an organic solvent A. The average primary grain size of the Ni powder is 30-400 nm. The binder resin component is cellulose acetate butyrate. The organic solvent A is a solvent in which the &Dgr;δ value with respect to the cellulose acetate butyrate, which is the binder resin component, is equal to or less than 11.5. The organic solvent B is a solvent in which the &Dgr;δ value with respect to the cellulose acetate butyrate, which is the binder resin component, is within the range of 11.5-25.0. The abundance ratio of the organic solvent B is 5.0-40.0 weight% with respect to the total organic solvent comprising the organic solvent A and the organic solvent B.
