TORQUE CONTROLLING BREAK SCREW

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque controlling break screw capable of dispensing with use of a plurality of break points on a screw body or a bolt body to fix a wire conductor or a cable conductor in a connector, or dispensing with use of a special apparatus to achieve the feature.SOLUTION: A break screw 101 includes a nut 109, a thin-walled hollow screw 110, and a torque limiting feature portion between the nut 109 and the screw 110. The nut 109 is released from a distal end of the screw 110 when a strength is over the strength of the torque limiting feature portion for fixing the nut 109 on the distal end of the screw 110, thus the nut 109 can move a shaft portion of the screw downward until it is brought into contact with a surface of a connector 107. Then the force more than the force to shear a residual length of the shaft portion of the thin-walled hollow screw is added to the nut 109 so that the screw 101 is flush with a surface of the connector 107.
