<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve gas mileage by performing fuel cut of an engine in a specific condition in a compulsive power generation mode and under driving in a deceleration coast. <P>SOLUTION: When it is determined that a hybrid vehicle is in the compulsive power generation mode and under deceleration coast driving, it is determined whether it is a battery discharging condition during fuel cut when discharging from a battery when fuel cut of the engine is carried out or a battery charging condition during fuel cut when charging the battery when fuel cut of the engine is carried out (S3); when it is determined from the determination result that it is the battery discharging condition during fuel cut, power generation taking around the motor generator with the engine in an operation state is made to perform (S7, S8); and when it is determined that the battery charging condition during fuel cut, fuel cut of the engine is carried out (S5, S6). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
