The invention relates to a gearbox having a first shaft, in particular an output shaft, and a second shaft, in particular an intermediate shaft. The gearbox comprises a housing part that has two openings, wherein an axial end region protrudes through the first of the openings, wherein the second opening is closed by means of a closure cap, in particular so that an axial end region of the second shaft is covered by the closure cap.
