<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent mixing of a light signal into an unintended port under the condition that optical connection between an input port and an output port is canceled.SOLUTION: A port array 11 includes an input port 11a and output ports 11b to 11e for allowing light to pass through, arranged in an X direction. A monitor port 18 allows light to pass. A spectral element 14 spectrally disperses light input from the input port 11a in a Y direction. A deflection element 16 includes deflecting parts 16a to 16e for generating deflected light by deflecting light of a predetermined wavelength component spectrally dispersed by the spectral element 14 to a predetermined direction in accordance with a driving condition. When the driving condition is a first condition for ensuring optical connection between the input port 11a and the output ports 11b to 11e, the deflected light is guided to the output ports 11b to 11e; and when the driving condition is a second condition for canceling the optical connection between the input port 11a and the output ports 11b to 11e, the deflected light is guided to the monitor port 18.</p> |
