Raw material is produced by: (a) mixing waste hydrocarbons with waste sulphuric acid and/or acidic waste sulphuric acid derivs., and (b) reacting the mixt., in the presence of water for calcium sulphate hydration, with amounts of limestone powder and/or calcium carbonate-contg. dust such that a self-hardening reaction product is obtained.
