PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for inserting a virtual object in a video.SOLUTION: In a method for inserting a virtual object in a video, a saliency map for characterizing the gaze allocation from a viewer in the image of a video is used, and a virtual object is inserted in the image of a video based on the saliency map. The method includes a step (12) for generating the saliency map of a video after insertion (11) of a virtual object, and a step (13) for adjusting insertion of a virtual object based on the saliency map, by adjusting at least one visual characteristics of the virtual object thus inserted. |
