<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change a size of a hit determination area depending on conditions so that intention of a user is easily reflected. <P>SOLUTION: A display device includes the steps of: displaying a first image containing an operation object (S1); detecting an instruction position instructed by a user (S2); calculating a hit determination area based on a fingering speed and a learning level coefficient of the user (S3); determining whether or not there is the operation object in the hit determination area and whether or not there is a plurality of the operation objects (S4 and S5); and updating the learning level coefficient according to determination results (S7 and S9).
