<p>A coating for cement-bonded substrates is made from cement-bonded material (I) and, with a layer thickness (d) in the hardened state, shows a porosity gradient between the coated base and the outer surface of the coating such that the porosity in the outer zone is less than that on the inside of the layer (d). An independent claim is also included for a method for retarding or preventing the leach-out and hydrolytic corrosion of cement-bonded substrates in contact with water, by applying a layer (d) of (I) with a water/cement ratio of 0.4-0.5 and then reducing the porosity of the outer zone of the layer to obtained a porosity gradient as above.</p> |
