CeHa; gas exits.-A non-spillable two-position accumulator or other battery comprises main and reserve compartments b, f, excess of electrolyte flowing into the latter on tilting or on placing the accumulator in an alternative working position, together with a casing l extending partly inside the reserve compartment and partly outside the accumulator, this casing being provided with baffling chambers forming a communication between the reserve compartment and a gas outlet. In the accumulator shown, the compartments b, are separated by a partition e, between one end of which, and the adjacent wall is an opening or openings g by which the compartments communicate. The casing extending through the wall of the reserve compartment is cylindrical, the inner open end projecting into the compartment and forming a baffle. The gas and air vent m in the end of the casing ! l is surrounded by a plurality of concentric baffling chambers n, o having perforations r in their walls. |
