PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and inexpensive solid state imaging device.SOLUTION: A D/A converter 15 included in a successive approximation A/D converter 5 of the solid state imaging device includes a multiplexer 16 for selecting any one from reference voltages VR0-VR16 as an analog reference signal VAR in the case of coarse A/D conversion, and selecting reference voltages VR(n-1)-VR(n+2) from the reference voltages VR0-VR16 in the case of fine A/D conversion, and a capacitor array 17 for generating the analog reference signal VAR on the basis of the reference voltages VR(n-1)-VR(n+2) in the case of fine A/D conversion. This can reduce a settling error in a reference voltage VR without using any redundant capacitors. |
