A workpiece processing arrangement 1 having a spray booth 2 with two ovens 4, 5 arranged at either end, and a transport rail 6 extending through all three for transporting a workpiece 10 therebetween. The spray booth is preferably open on one side, air 35 being supplied through the roof, then extracted from the work space. Incoming air flow rate is preferably higher than the outgoing one. Air input may be effected via a fan (34, fig. 2) and a plenum (31, fig. 2) on the roof. Air 36 may be extracted via the side of the booth by another fan (37, fig. 2) and let out of a chimney (33, fig. 2) after being filtered 32. At least one of the ovens may have two zones or chambers, namely a higher temperature baking zone 41, 51 and a lower temperature curing zone 42, 52. A method of processing workpieces in such an arrangement is also claimed, wherein a first workpiece is painted or coated in the spray booth, then moved to one of the ovens, while a second workpiece is brought to the spray booth for processing. Dried articles are moved from the ovens back to the spray booth, then removed, the arrangement allowing for simultaneous processing of multiple articles. |
