<p>A wireless communication device solves the problem that the transmission capacity of a data signal is reduced more than necessary in order to ensure the reliability of a pilot signal. A determination unit (20A) determines a reception modulation method for a received data signal according to the state of the transmission line (3). A transmission circuit (10) generates a first pilot signal that indicates the reception modulation method that was determined by the determination unit (20A) and, after adding an error correction code, modulates and transmits the first pilot signal. A reception unit (20B) receives a second pilot signal that indicates a transmission modulation method that is the method for modulating a transmitted data signal. A switching unit (20C), in accordance with the transmission modulation method indicated by the second pilot signal received by the reception unit (20B), switches at least one of the modulation method of the first pilot signal transmitted by the transmission circuit (10) and the redundancy of the error correction code of the first pilot signal.</p> |
