PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent polymer composition having improved mechanical (scratching resistance, impact strength, tensile strength and the like), thermal and light stable (visible light, ultraviolet light) characteristics.SOLUTION: A barium sulfate or calcium carbonate particle is used in a transparent polymer composition. The transparent polymer composition and a method for producing the composition are provided. A barium sulfate or calcium carbonate nanoparticle having a particle size of 150 nm or less and 0.5 nm or more is used as a filler in the transparent polymer composition. The obtained composition simultaneously exhibits good scratching resistance, good impact strength, good tensile strength, good thermal stability, and good visible light and UV radiation stability and retains excellent transparency. The composition can be used as a material alternative to a glass in the automobile sector and the optical sector. |
