The present invention relates to a steering control method for cases of abnormality of a motor position sensor and an apparatus thereof. In particular, when errors occur in a motor position sensor of a vehicle being driven by auto-driving control, the present invention judges the driving status of the vehicle and whether the steering angle is fixed or not. Based on the result, the present invention controls the steering angle to be fixed, or, stops fixing the steering angle to allow the driver to steer independently when the willingness of a driver to steer is confirmed. |
