If a first peak ratio (Vu/Vd) of a region of interest corresponding to an anterior wall is equal to or greater than a predetermined first feature threshold value (for example, 2.0) using the obtained maximum displacement velocity Vu in the positive direction and maximum displacement velocity Vd in the negative direction, it is determined that the region of interest is an artery.
