<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminatingly identify each of an open state of a voltage detection line and an overcharge state of a power storage unit.SOLUTION: A power storage system has first and second power storage units connected in series. A voltage detection circuit detects a voltage value of each power storage unit by the use of a capacitor connected in parallel with each power storage unit via a voltage detection line. Each power storage unit and the capacitor are connected with a parallel switch, and a controller controls the operation of the switch. A predetermined process is performed to turn the switch corresponding to the first power storage unit from off to on while keeping the switch corresponding to the second power storage unit off. During the predetermined process, if the voltage value (first voltage value) of the first power storage unit detected by the voltage detection circuit is a lower limit value and the voltage value (second voltage value) of the second power storage unit detected by the voltage detection circuit increases, it is determined that the voltage detection line is in an open state.</p> |
