Provided are an apparatus and a method for controlling an electric booster. The apparatus include a detection unit detecting a current motor operation signal outputted from a motor when an electric booster is operated by the motor operation; a control unit receiving the current motor operation signal detected by the detection unit and including a preset reference motor operation signal; a determination unit determining whether the current motor operation signal detected by the detection unit is deviated from the range of the reference motor operation signal according to the control of the control unit; and a frequency band control unit filtering the current motor operation signal according to the control of the control unit and controlling the current motor operation signal with a frequency bandwidth corresponding to the reference motor operation signal to provide the current motor operation signal to the motor.
