The present invention provides: a high-molecular-weight polyether polyol which enables the achievement of a polyurethane having excellent flexibility and excellent elastic modulus recovery properties by being used as a starting material for the polyurethane; and a method for producing a polyether polyol, which has higher number average molecular weight and narrower molecular weight distribution than a staring material polyether polyol, with high productivity. A polyether polyol according to the present invention has a number average molecular weight of 3,500-5,500 and a molecular weight distribution of from 1.7 to 3.0 (inclusive).
