<p>PURPOSE: A device for detecting a three-dimensional location of a pointing object is provided to detect horizontal and vertical movement of a pointing object on the screen of a display panel. CONSTITUTION: A reflecting member (200) is equipped around the circumference of the screen. The reflecting member reflects an irradiated light. Multiple scan assemblies (300) project light on a virtual surface which is located parallel to the screen. The projected light is reflected by the reflecting member and each of the multiple scan assemblies detects the reflected light. A control unit detects location of the on-screen object based on the light projected from and detected by the multiple scan assemblies.</p> |
