PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic clinical thermometer which has a display part controlled to constant brightness, and can calculate a temperature value of high precision. SOLUTION: The electronic clinical thermometer which computes the body temperature of a subject based upon a temperature measured using a single input integration type A/D conversion circuit, includes a first control circuit which performs PWM control over an LED so that the display part which displays the computed body temperature of the subject has the constant brightness, and a second control circuit which statically controls a current of the LED so that the display part has the constant brightness, and is characterized in that the second control circuit controls the LED from the time when a start condition of body temperature computation of the subject is met until the body temperature computation is completed.
