<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for hydrogen generation which is easy to produce and has a low hydrogen overvoltage.SOLUTION: An electrode for hydrogen generation consists of a plating film formed on a substrate composed of a conductive metal, and a porous plating layer based on Ni is formed on the substrate. The pore diameter (p) of the porous plating layer is 5-500μm, in terms of the area-weighted average value. The film thickness (t) of the porous plating layer is preferably 5-500μm, and the product (p×t) of the pore diameter (p) by the film thickness (t) is preferably 100μmor greater.</p> |
