PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide wrapping paper that is superior in printability such as capable of displaying product information clearly, and to provide a method for manufacturing the wrapping paper.SOLUTION: Wrapping paper 1 is provided for wrapping a small-sized sheet bundle. The wrapping paper has a base paper 10 comprising kraft paper, and an information area 20 is printed on an outer surface of the base paper 10 by monochrome print. In the information area 20, a bar code 21 (product information) is printed. Also, the method for manufacturing the wrapping paper 1 includes the steps of : making a rolled material of the wrapping paper 1 travel; detecting a mark 30 printed on the outer surface of an inspection area 15 of the rolled material by a sensor; and cutting the rolled material based on positional relationship between the mark 30 and the cutting blade, and cutting the wrapping paper 1 from the rolled material. In the rolled material, the inspection area 15 extends in the traveling direction, and a plurality of side face areas 12 extend in the direction perpendicular to the inspection area 15. |
