PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive composition and an adhesive layer which have a high refractive index and high transparency and stably exhibit adhesive force.SOLUTION: The acrylic adhesive composition for an optical member contains: an adhesive polymer which contains a hydroxyl group as a main functional group and contains a butyl acrylate and a methyl acrylate as main polymer constituents; inorganic particles; and a plasticizer. The volume-average particle diameter of the inorganic particles is 5 to 50 nm inclusive. The content of the inorganic particles is 130 to 220 pts.wt. inclusive based on 100 pts.wt. of the adhesive polymer.
